Generally we just need a clear passage to the fireplace and adequate space to work in. Please clear the hearth and mantelpiece of any ornaments or valuables and if possible clear the grate of any fuel, ash or rubbish. It is also advised not to have the fire/appliance burning for a minimum of 12 hours prior to our visit.
